Christian Expressions of
Various Denominations
The Association of Christian Therapists (ACT) has strong Catholic and Other Christian healing roots and invites and encourages members of all Christian denominations to join in its mission. Members are committed to Jesus Christ and are open to integrating His healing ministry and the gifts of the Holy Spirit into their lives and work.

We are quite aware that All Christians have much more in common than not. ACT is inclusive of the healing traditions of our various Christian members. In addition to Sunday Roman Catholic Mass we also offer a Sunday Service conducted by ministers of Other Christian Denominations. All conference attendees are invited to these services, as well to the Healing Services and daily Roman Catholic Masses. We maintain a eucharistic chapel as well as a meditation room for our attendees and encourage all to participate in Christian meditation, contemplation, and other manifestations of Christian practice, including utilizing the Charismatic Gifts.

ACT evolved out of the Roman Catholic Charismatic Renewal that occurred after Vatican II, and many Christians denominations open to the charismatic expressions (including Presbyterian, Methodist, and Episcopalian) played an important part in the development of ACT.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are mentioned in the writings of St. Paul. We all have many gifts of the Lord, and all of these can play a part in the "Gift of Healing" that brings relief of spiritual, mental, and physical suffering. While an ACT member certainly does not have to be "charismatic," many of our members are very comfortable with these expressions. If you have not had the opportunity to experience charismatic expressions, please join in worship in your own way and participate in charismatic expressions as much or as little as you wish.

If you are interested in learning more about the gifts of the Holy Spirit and their expression please click HERE for the "Charismatic Gifts" page. We also encourage you to attend the early morning “Life in the Spirit” seminar Friday and Saturday mornings. Allow the Holy Spirit to prepare you, to teach you, to touch you, and receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, [or a renewal of it], which will prepare you more fully to go forth into our world. Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a “blessed” invitation, and opportunity, to realize more clearly the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, which God gives to each of us to use in our daily lives & to draw us closer to our Triune God. He calls each of us “by name.”
