Dear Fiends of the Oratory of the Little Way,

We are writing to share a healing prayer experience with you so that you will be more aware of our ministry here at the Oratory.

The day of the sexual abuse workshop Lea got sick. Her stomach was in knots, her head ached and her hands shook. As a paralyzing fear overcame her she resisted going to the Oratory of the Little Way. Somehow, we convinced her to take the first step and go to a trusted friends house... just that far. If she couldn’t continue, we promised to take her home. She did bravely continue but as we got closer she went ashen. She sat staring blindly into the distance. She rode those last couple of miles oblivious to the world around her. When we arrived at the Oratory I asked her what had happened. She replied that she had done what she had grown accustomed to do during the abuse, she simply went away.

We prayed with Lea, intensively and personally. We asked Lea to go to that place of pain and then invited Jesus to come into the room where she had experienced the trauma. And we waited in silent prayer as we allowed the Holy Spirit to come in and minister to her. Later, when asked what had happened, she replied, “Jesus came to me and stood by the end of the bed. He knew, He understood, He cared and He loved me. It was the first time I have ever felt free of this burden of pain.”

In addition to classes and programs, the Oratory offers intensive, individual prayer, Individual Prayer Ministry, for those facing illness, and for those dealing with physical , emotional or spiritual trauma in their lives. It is through healing prayer that wounds are closed and lives are made whole. It is through healing prayer that people get back that which has been stolen from them.

Your support of the ministry of the Oratory makes it all possible. Without you, others would never experience healing. Please consider an ongoing pledge of support to the Oratory of the Little Way on a monthly basis in whatever amount is feasible for you. We need you. We need your help. Please give whatever you are capable of giving to support the Oratory.

Thank you for your consideration and continued support.
